We cover:
Bitcoin basics and why self custody is so important
How to make your own seed phrases (never use a seed provided by a device or a third party)
Compare and contrast hardware signing devices - which one(s) to pick for your situation and why
Learn about and practice single sig, single sig with passphrase and multi-sig
Backing up your seed words, descriptors and pass phrases onto paper and metal
Defending against attempts to gain access to your bitcoin, including when under duress
Supporting you in meeting KYC compliance hurdles for using local exchanges
How to spend your bitcoin
IMPORTANT:
You can practice and make sure you have full comfort with the tools and skills using small amounts of bitcoin (under $10 worth) that we provide.
At no stage will we ever ask to see, nor should you ever show us, your seed phrases used to store actual meaningful amounts of bitcoin.
You can later go to a seperate unobserved location and repeat the steps you’ve learnt and create new seeds and backups that you know that no one other than you has access to.
